So SAP trusts his firm....he opened a development firm in india and they started doing n big scale...last i heard they planning to go public... Papi...I make sure we charge a fortune for prototype....protype ki 300 to 400 hours cheptham....and we charge a lot endhukantey chala sarlu it gallu prototype chusi copy dnkatam start chestharu....and no matter what according to our agreement iam going to do my prototype for coke....but u have to understand....cocacola is a big firm man...and this is a small bottling branch...but okka sari adugu padi project success iithey they become our client and then they keep calling u for one branch to other... cott beverages ani poormans cola....coke lo 5% undadhu valla revenue...but vallaki chesam and still they call us back wheneever they buy a new firm ot they embrace sap for their new branch.... and iam also not comfortable to work in a place where there is suspicion ...uneasy ga untadhi | ||

It is quite common bro, i feel it has more to do with insecurity than jealousy. In a team, there will be few who do not think objectively when it comes to accepting new changes and functionality. It is either because of the fear of losing their job, or command over the project, or even the laziness to learn new stuff. It is not just with Desi's, its a pretty common trait. yes, this is bound to happen. isnt that part of the game though. in one of our previous biddings, we went against the big 4 in tech consulting and of course our differentiator was the price and a unique solution. one of the company IT directors leaked the schematic of our solution to the big guy and they came in with a variant of our solution. we were heartbroken and almost lost it but my boss used his good books, got the audience with the CEO for 30 minutes and convinced them by throwing in free support after go-live and other such goodies. we finally got it back. it's a game buddy, raise your stakes. that's the only way to play it. | ||

I was once interviewing for a product based company in Pittsburgh. almost 99% white and I would have been the first H1B for the company but they were open. so the final interview was with the CEO and he asked me what was I looking for in this company. sollanthaa cheppi, last lo annanu - in my previous company(which happens to be one of the US software giants with a lot of desi management) there was too much politics and I am running away from that ani. he simply said you will get the exact same thing here - you dont run away from that stuff, you learn to handle it. we will teach you ani kooda annadu oka wicked smile tho. and he is a true blue white american. all my later years of life, I learnt that he was right. you just need to go beyond these things and play the game. it is everywhere all around you. | ||

Ma dantlo same ilane jarigindi.. story is little different. We had oracle Weblogic from last 10 years and we were paying millions every year in support. We once proposed business to peal off modules one by one and go for opensource like jboss and apache. We did it for almost 40% of modules.. At the end we succeded in saving at least 2 to 3 million per year on maintainance cost. of course Oracle business people made comments saying your arch team is screwed up.. but we went on market path.. got success Papi gadu post este katthi la digali | ||

EC.. It is reality. You said Company was interested and asked you to do it. Just keep the proof of the mails and reply them with all mail chains as attachement. When you are in that field you should really take verbal confirmation. If CEO asked you to prototype with all other stuff then do in same way. ....I dont know why they are so screwed up. Last week friday roju cocacola lo one of the bottling branch ki prototype cheyyataniki requirements kosam ella....they r located in southpark in charlotte...kickoff was done week before that through goto meeting....they liked wat they heard so they called me to introduce me to their sap team....business kurroll liked me and my company and they asked me loads of questions on the solution some of which dont necessarily add any value to them but they were just curious and I obliged.... and all along the sap team mostly desi kurroll like managers n leads they were like whining we dont need it we dont need that...but the business wants to learn so I was telling them everything they wanted.. and once I left today I got a mail from the cfo there ....he is the one who hired our company and he said "the sap team said ur trying too hard to sell other solutions which we dont need and just stick to wat u promised and wat we need " Most probably now no matter how good my prototype is they might not go ahead with the work.... idhi sooosi naa blood 5000degress boil iindhi boss... this is not the first time someone like this is trying to screw us.... jealous naa mattalu....we lost a project after giving prototype once because of assoles like this....okadithey maa solution ini aadu nenu chesi pedatha vallakkarledhu ani thoda kottadu....ofcourse he screwed up n he got fired i heard...this is for a firm in chicago.... my point is u live n let people live...if someone or some company is flourishing learn from him the trade secrets....I always do the same...I never felt jealous competitive may be but nor jealous or insecure....I was working for a firm and they hired a company I assume they r called backoffice....they specialize only in coversions...I can do conversions by myself and I wondered why my company was hiring them ...then I saw their methods....they make it simple and more efficient and they do pre designed/configured solutions...and then I learned the trick....I never whined like why we need them why are u payin them so much...fckers....fckin fckers...fckers |
