Dhanurmasam is not be confused with the Lunar months.. Dhanurmasam is when Sun enters Dhanur rashi..Sagittarius..when Sun leaves Sagittarius and enters Capricorn..we celebrate ..Makara Sankranthi.. Amazing person..he travels almost 2 hours (one way) to work..does a daily job like all of us..does Ganapati Homam everyday at home in the morning..and answers queries on Astrology in the evenings or nights..and also works on his software..his day starts at 4 and ends at 12 or so | ||

not sure what Chicago temple uses..they probably follow India thithis..not sure// whatever, it is celebrated on 17th in india, and also here in Chicago where the temple is very near to my home. I think vaikunta ekadasi is not tomorrow(16th), it is day after tomorrow(17th). Vaikunta Ekadashi is observed on Dhanur Masa Shukla Paksha Ekadasi or on the 11th day of bright fortnight during Dhanur Masam. Vaikunta Ekadashi 2010 date is December 17.
