Dreamcatcher: This is my favorite. My son plays this one for me all the time saying "Dad, I am going to play your favorite song". :-)
. Yes, I think this is one of the first pieces they teach in piano classes - simple tune but very liked. Its a crowd puller. Getafix:Is Hayden contemporary of Beethoven,Bach and Mozart?
Dont know brother. Kimura:rendu types baaga telisina vallu compare cheste will be interesting to see..
You are right, I too think Its very immature to compare them. Each has its own beauty. Rajusk: Thanks Ishan
Also, in WCM during rendition, a singer jumps from one note to other, but in ICM the singers sing all the frequencies in between - this is gamaka system. WCM basically harmony based whereas ICM melody based. Life is 10% of what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. John Maxwell |

Ishan:It originated during early 10th century. It gradually evolved and but was at its peak during 17th century when likes of mozart, beethoven and Bach emerged. It has no raaga concept, but Scales. WCM is multiphonic, meaning they play multiple instruments at the same time where as Indian CM is monophonic.
Thanks Ishan |

4- Vivaldi Four Seasons- Summer: A celebrated italian composer, antonio vivaldi composed four violin concertos for four seasons. I personally like the Summer version. It was Concerto No. 2 in G minor. Try to notice the crescendos and how the violins try to evoke emotions. Its my personal favorite. btw, its a beautiful video too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=go7wlUOC5dg History: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Four_Seasons_(Vivaldi) Life is 10% of what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. 3- Moonlight Sonata: Another masterpiece of Beethoven. The Piano sonata No. 14 in Csharp minor. It got its name from another composer Rellstab when he compared this piece to moonlight. Composed for his student and lover, this is also one of the best compositions ever. THought of Starting this thread for a while. i am a big big fan of it. For those who are not acquainted with it, please take a look at it. Its an amazing art. I will post some of my favourites - For those who can't open youtube now, please save this thread and listen to them at night. Yes yes I know they sound like the ones you heard in timex watch ads - they copied as always. I will start with this beautiful Baroque piece of Pachelbel. Called as Canon, this was composed in D major with violins. This got to be one of the most famous pieces of all-time. They play this tune in most of the weddings, graduation ceremonies and other functions through out USA and Europe. Enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wpPk8qk3uQ&feature=related Life is 10% of what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. John Maxwell |
