at the end of the day, i think i have lost 2 good friends...did some thing like this happened to any of you ever? -- i lost one.....who drifted away after marriage......but occasionally keeps in touch......with the rest of the gang....totally reverse of your second case....he didnt make it good in life but keeps all the old friends out of it.....now...for some reason..... totally changed guy we know from old days.... but i'm happy that he is happy and if he prefers it that way....fine with me.... did make some attempts to reach him......but not much response from the other side....thought i should respect his decision on this......and stay as a well wisher than poking him repeatedly.... End of day.....i dont see it as loosing a friend though......only that closeness..... as we move on.....new friends come into the life and some old ones fade away......but not like completely out......Life has its own priorities now.....and they take loads of time.....(exept DB) my two pennies.... I was very close with some of my childhood friends since we all were in India & the friendship even grew bigger after we all landed in the US I used to be very close & attached to 2 of these guys & they were like that to me even, but when ever they had a conflict with any one, i was there for my buddies & even behaved like a wall if some one dared to do any thing bad to these guys. All was well until we got married, then started trouble, one of my friend had problems with his in-laws & was going to the extent of getting divorced, this is when i broke the rules & sided with the in-laws because i knew that what ever my friend is doing wrong & tried to get his view point about why he wanted to divorce & they looked to me very silly,then i told him not to spoil the relationship any further & try to stay calm & be happy as before..thats it he stopped talking to me & even said some bad things which were all false & every one in the circle knew that they were false but still i didnt utter a word against all that non-sense, he got divorced finally last year & wont talk to me even now. An another friend who is also equally close had started behaving abnormally with all our friends which was never seen until he to got married. He has no issues with his wife, but he started to pose of as if he has become a millionaire & started ill treating all of us in financial matters. I again tried to play the devils advocate here & surprisingly figured out that he's gone wrong some where, its not that he has lots of money inherited from marriage or got a raise, or hit a jackpot, he just wants to show off before his wife & de-mean all our friends, i told him that its not the way but surprisingly he started staying away from all of us & we now meet him very rarely at the end of the day, i think i have lost 2 good friends...did some thing like this happened to any of you ever?
