SUN also gave good severance packages like 2 weeks pay for every year worked + cobra payments + vacation + bonus + 60 day notice (pay w/o work) + 4-12 weeks depending on grade But Genentech is the best I have heard | ||

I was talking about going back to school n didnt mention u should go only for 3 months...do mba or if ur into accouting finish ur cpa or if ur into sciences finish ur phd... FT dhentlo chesthar boss....ft antey seperate work emi undadhu kadha....i saw many firms where there are so many efficient accountants who r stuck at being a collection specialist or an analyst for their whole lives cause they never had a masters degree or a cpa.... Iam talking about people like that...if they get such a severance and it will let them afford time n money for a school then with their experience n bg n that degree they can jump up the ladder too fast.... | ||

They started laying off some of their employees... severance package goes like this... 6months of pay...n insurance.... and 2 weeks more for every year u spent at that firm... knew someone who got laid off...shes been there for 10 years... antey 6months + 20 weeks of salary as part of severance... and she has 6 weeks of paid vacation left...so they offered her to take that vacation of 6 weeks n comeback and then get laidoff.... even if ur at firm for a year n u r selected for layoff they r offering u 6 months of pay.... dats mom...dats y its always nice to work for pharma firms..they might do shady stuff in africa but they know how to take care of their employees..... |
