the present popular idea of universe is heavily based on general relativity... according to special relativity nothing can travel faster than light but General relativity has scope for greater speeds than light....why the two theories are contradicting?.... even in the talk below the guy says we are in special times because in future information about all other galaxies external to ours might not reach us since they would move with speeds greater than light...then he says our picture of universe will only have our own galaxy...... |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ImvlS8PLIo&hd=1 this guy concludes universe is flat and infinite but through the lecture presents calaculations of total amount of mass and energy in the universe based on it's ciurvature using general relativity equations......go through his answer to the audience question on infinity at the end, his word jugglery is exposed by the question on infinity...How can an infinite universe have finite mass&energy?....is it a new kind of math they use in relativity where you can have infinite universe with finite mass& energy....so if at all his conclusions on infinite universe and big bang are true......then you have an infinite universe from bigbang that has a finite beginning.......Does any religious theory sound more absurd than this? |

if there is no space outside that point at the beginning of bigbang can any explosion similar to what we experience conventionally occur?...you should have space for something to explode...so is explosion right word to describe Big bang?...even now if galaxies are moving away it doesn't mean universe is expanding spacially becuase there shouldn't be space outside universe...it just means inter galactic space is increasing....in other words it looks like expanding with a reference inside universe |

at that point all the laws that involve matter, energy, space and other material properties should be redundant....so that something cannot be bound by any laws and it's not empirically possible to know what it actually is....i am drawing these conclusions assuming bigbang to be true, i am personally not sure about that |

our knowldege regarding space is very limited. What is the material out side ov space is non thinkable. We humans have brains which cannot think out of our brain domain. We are thinking toward 3D and light etc. but at the end the universe might different than what we think and see Papi gadu post este katthi la digali

even going by quantum mechanics everything exists everywhere its only our measurement that localizes existence |

Cocanada:bhayya..you require space to imagine the centre point from outside. thats why you are asking this question. there is no "outside" before space manifested anukuntunna
yes, there shouldn't be no space, matter, force, density, temperature but there should have existed something which is neither small nor big and doesn't have spacial and material properties |

they say all matter was condensed to a point at the start of big bang, which means it's like a black hole with infinite density....when they say matter occupied a point means it's surrounded by space, which means everything started from a point in unlimited space....then what's the property of that space outside that point?... i think if bigbang is true then spacial & material properties like point, density, matter, temperature doesn't make sense at the beginning of Bigbang....we can only qualify what existed at the begining of bigbang as something beyond space which means there is something doesn't occupy space....Also what are the dynamics of transformation(explosion) of that something which is neither big nor small into this universe with spacial and material properties? |
