Put your thoughts here. I have been reading some articles recently on all departments like engineering, technology and biological science. They are quite great technological convergence in near future. Some of them are as follows. 1) Kill Desktop and laptop: The main core of the computer is really becoming tiny day by day. It came to the size of palm. I think in couple of years we would see Smartphone doing everything for us. No more bulky cpu and big notebooks. SMartphone would give facility to connect to tradition monitors and projectors to perfom ur task. Also there are many things they are trying add to smarphone -> Standardized scanners:There would be standardized scanner on smarphone which can read all bilogical elments. Suppose you would like to check your glucose in your blood and BP, smartphone scanner can detectthese for you and give warning whenever your reading cross dinger zone. Iphone already have app to measure your pulse. It does it through its camera. It take snaps of your palm multiple times and based on the color variations it calculates your pulse. It was very accurate. Recently people are trying to develop small scanner which would have usb interface so that analog signals can be sent to your smartphone throug usb and app in smartphone would read them and find out the result. This can be used for reading your blood. You can buy small scanner in the cvs and put your blood drop on the scanner and attache it to smartphone. Smartphone can give you the results about your blood culture. it includes what infection you have and how serious it is. Also it gives colestrol, glucose, fat, blood cells report. 2)Aviation: I think most of the aviation companies like boeing and airbus are trying to invent new jets which can carry more people with less oil and less sound polution. Now we have jets which can carry almost 800 people. I think we would see city in the sky in near future. Now we have 6 engine flights which can cary tons of the load. They can invest some engines which would use natural powers like wind and solar particals to reduce the fuel consumption. You might see half mile city getting lifted to air without run way and navigate in the sky. Automobile: Volt and leaf already on the way. If we can find improvement in battery technology then you might see cars just run on power. You would see oil totally out of market. It might be used only for industry utilisations like powergrid.
