Annai.. basic ga db lo discuss jarigindi.. NRI's or foreign investments are not allowed in agri lands.. period. You can buy the land but you should show the proof that that money is not comming fromm other country. Second thing is every state has its own law for agri land. For example in maharastra non agri family cannot buy agri land. Karnataka also have some rule smilar to that. This things would not come into picture until some one file case against you. You can go and register the land right away. they do not check things. But if near by come to know abt law and your situation they might file case to trouble you. If they prove that you bought it with foreign money or when you are NRI then your purchase is void. It goes back to seller name.
