The troop i mentioned left for india on Oct 26th. They are basically from Karnataka..
BTW though I felt proud of myself at some point during my interaction with those visually challenged kids it is those guys who make more proud with their abilities and dedication.
They goto regular colleges, want to be treated on par with all guys and most importantly many opearate computer, cell phones with help from a software. In addition they learned/learning this classical dance.. |

I was part of the co-ordination in indy as well. From here, those kids went to Louisville, KY and from there to Chicago. Texas next and they go back to India from Chicago |

one night got a call from a friend saying there is this organization which is started by a visually challenged person and they are here in US to perform for some kannada organization. Can we do it in our place and get them some money?
With help from other such like minded people and resources we pulled off a great event on one Sunday evening and collected about 4K on the spot. Later through some of my other contacts introduced the team and they could collect another 3K or so. Apart from that rendered helping hand in moving the team, serving food and other stuff during their stay in CT.
All in all during theyir entire stay in USA they collected about 50K. Yes50K USD. I am happy that though i could NOT contribute monetarily very much to them but could bring in lot of contacts to help them.. God bless all those who donated.
