You cannot work without EAD, you can go to a local office and ask for temp EAD based on what I read, but I dont know how true it is AS long as you filed EAD , you can stay in country waiting for the approaval without pay naa ishtam ...antha mee ishtam babu doraa | ||

yes, did it. that's the one expiring and needs to renew. last time BLINDLY e-filed and paid the FEE (USCIS did not rejected/refunded the payment). this time i read those lines about the fee and e-filing. so looking for any one with the similar situation and what they did. | ||

its not 6 months, EAD may not be filed earlier than 120 days prior to the expiration of the original EAD. | ||

We didn't file 485 in this period,so I always apply for my EAD online. But, yes, if you filed after July30th 2007, you are not eligible to apply online and can do only paper based filing and no need for FEE. BTW, when was the first time you got your EAD? | ||

Urgent: EAD expiring soon for wify. We had our 485 filed during 2007, Sep-Oct and been on EAD, now needs to renew EAD. Instructions on USCIS are not clear or at least for me. Instructions on USCIS site say: E-Filing not eligible and no FEE required.
