Jodhaa:HSA over regular premium plans unna benefits enti ??
Regular premiums ante the money is just out of ur pocket. If u think u are puttinglot of money in the drain without really using insurance then HSA is right choice for u. So for example u pay $1000 a month ie 12K per year and insurance pays say arnd 5K for the medical cliams u feel u are wasting a lot of money. In that case HSA is answer for u say u pay premium of 3.5K for HSA and 5K for whatever insurance pays still u end up saving 4K in ur HSA at teh end of the year |

Yepp. Instead of putting the money in premium u put it in a Savings account. Insurance wont pay single penny untill u hit saome amt say 10K. Untill 10K u need to pay every penny. But in a good year its very rare that u have to pay 10K (negoatitaed amt). If u dont use the money this year it will rollover to next year |

Mega bro, It depends on ur reqs. Esp if u are paying 1000 with ur employers grp plan the amt is before tax. so essentially u ar epaying arnd 700 after tax money. Also I dont know abt ur family status. Are u just married. or u have kids. If u have kids and dont plan addl kids then u can go for outside plan as u dont need maternity coverage. u have to see pros and cons MOtham 1000 u are paying means u are on some % deal of billing with ur emploayer in which case he wont pitch any amt from his side |

Mega:Though this is covered by the Insurance, It put this test under a special category saying that the deductible/copay is $1000. The Lab actually wrote up a bill for $4000 for the test. But Insurance said to them that the negotiated price is only $1100 and they paid only $100 as the remaining is patient copay and now I am getting several bills for the $1000. Very soon it might go to the collection agency.
Megaa bro idhi nee insurance deductible ni batti untadhi if you pay this deductible in the begininning of the year that would be beneficial. prathi year oka limit of coverage dhatina tharvatha manam aa deductible pay cheyyali idhi once per year. unlike other bills ilanti health related bills meedha extra fee etc undav, you can negotiate with them that you pay only 60% of the bill, it's better to pay than missing. |

1) first call insurance. tell them I called before the procedure, and you said you will cover all(just fake it) it works sometimes, and worthyour time. naaku ilaage oka MRI case lo 800 save ayyaayi. 2) 1 work avakapothe, call the lab who billed you, ask for discount, usually some guys give 20% discount if you pay all at once. 3) 1 & 2 work avakapothe, ask the lab that you can pay in installments, you can name the monthly amounts like 25 per month. argue with them thats all you can pay. its completely ok. but dont let it go to collection agency if you care about credit history. beleive me talking to them works. okasaari oka procedure ki evo expensive drugs cover avaledhu $400 bill vachindhi. nenu insurance vaadiki letter raasaa, nenu in-network vaadi daggarke ellaanu, aa procedure lo naaku matthu mandhu ichaaru, naakem thelsu vaadu em mandhul vaadthnnaado, thelisthe voddhu anevaadni. annaanu. $400 waived. adhi matter. its very difficult to tell without knowing the exact health plan you are having. if its deductible plan, you need to pay completely from your pocket until you reach the max. out. if its co-pay plan, then for me it looks like the test is not covered under your plan...but need to talk to insurance company whether its covered or not. just call them and find out...they will give you complete details you ended up paying $1000. usually if its expensive, the lab or doc will themselves check with insurane first, before writing the exam to make sure its covered. otherwise they will inform the patient before hand. www.prajarajyam.org - The account has been suspended. |

Installments lo kadataa ante vaallu oppukuntaru.. If you dont pay, will go to collections and is not worth it.. collections ki velthe you can settle it may be 400.. but nee history lo 'settled' ani untundi and that will haunt you.. its not worth it.. koddigaa ibbandi ainaa installments lo pay cheseyyi.. Mega:o what are my options. 1. Is it ok not to pay? what are the consequences? 2. Can I negotiate for a smaller amount? 3. If this goes to the collection agency? Will I have to pay more that $1000? If it is still going to be $1000, then how much of that will be kept as service fees by the collection agency?
1. back to desam vellipothunte....pay cheyyoddu...i don't want to suggest this...but.... 2. probably you can negotiate, and they might agree to postpone, but cannot reduce the bill. 3. no, even if it goes to collection agency, you just need to pay the actual bill amount. no extra.... www.prajarajyam.org - The account has been suspended. |

Doc prescribed a test/procedure. I took the test. After everything was done I got a medical bill from the medical lab for $1000. I thought it would be like a blood test or an X-ray and did not know I should check with insurance before taking the test. Though this is covered by the Insurance, It put this test under a special category saying that the deductible/copay is $1000. The Lab actually wrote up a bill for $4000 for the test. But Insurance said to them that the negotiated price is only $1100 and they paid only $100 as the remaining is patient copay and now I am getting several bills for the $1000. Very soon it might go to the collection agency. So what are my options. 1. Is it ok not to pay? what are the consequences? 2. Can I negotiate for a smaller amount? 3. If this goes to the collection agency? Will I have to pay more that $1000? If it is still going to be $1000, then how much of that will be kept as service fees by the collection agency? If any one had or heard of any experiences please share. Thanks! |
