They have an explanation for this oxymoron 'moral' principle. The first assumption is that animals have brains but no 'god' given mind. And, every living being has a purpose for its life. The purpose of farm raised chicken and cattle is to die for the sake of human consumption. The purpose of pets is to be companions of humans. The purpose of wild animals is to contribute to the balance of ecosystems. In all these cases however, cruelty in the form of 'unnecessary' and 'unacceptable' pain is illegal and 'unethical'. If you kill an animal for consumption, do according to the authorized methods. The basic principle is that animals are thought to be the property of humans. Interesting thinking ! Hypocritical? hmmm...may be. I think the definition of hypocrisy depends upon the basic assumptions you believe in or formulate. "Take up one idea. probably majority people (meat eaters) will take chicken, beef, pork as part of meat world-wide. though other animals are consumed as meat, but very very less %. may be that is the reason only few are not covered under animal rights. is it possible to grow deer or any other animal for meat purpose in farms just like cows and chicken..?? www.prajarajyam.org - The account has been suspended. | ||

last one year I had the oppurtunity to visit atleast 5 meat processing industries ....all these make jerkys n burgers ...like beef jerkys , turkey jerkys and all sorts of burgers.... most interesting feature of these industries is the raw materials for em which are the Animals....Hen, turkey , pigs n cows.... and how they r raised n sold... Food Inc documentary lo sooichindhi nothing... U know...lets take the whole life cycle of a turkey... so the turkeys mate n an egg is laid and its hatched and a small cute little turkey is born.... and then the countdown begins... and they start feeding the little turkey.... And in 144 days this cute little turkey is going to be transformed into one huge big ass fat ugly bird....Just in 144 days...they feed it all kind of shxt... because....the faster they supply the better the margin for profits... and the plants I have seen they kill 18000 to 40000 turkeys a Day...depending on the size of their business.... And I have seen another plant where they do the same with chicken...the period for chicken is just 74 days I guess....and one guy was telling me they r spending millions on research to findout if the raising time for these chicken can be reduced from 74 to 72 days...Just 2 days ..... and its a pretty big firm wrt to no og chicken they supply and i saw checks worth 350 k to 500k paid for em for each delivery....so two days can impact their revenue by a lot... And then there r cows n pigs....they take their own time to grow....so raising them is not that profitable compared to chicken n turkey.... so if someone wants to make quick buck open a kolla forum.... u will be millionaires in no time |
