beneficiary ki lottery..irrespective of employer and they take the number of petitions for that benificiary and approve them accordingly..if u r selected in lottery and u have 3 employers,then they may approve all the 3 if found proper..in that way they make extra income though they know only one will be used ultimately.. | ||

And there is a reason they explicitly did not tell about it..petitions from multiple employers is always extra income to uscis if that beneficiary is selected in lottery..they will approve all the 3 petitions and make more money..uscis is not funded entirely by govt..they make money this way | ||

Therefore, having multiple applications does not increase the chances. Having multiple applications may decrease the chances of approval, since each employer would likely get an RFE, informing the employer that the person has petitions from other employers as well. This may result in all the employers withdrawing their applications. To stay with your example, a Fortune 500 company will not react nicely to the news that the person wasn't forthcoming to them about the multiple applications... In short, anybody who filed multiple applications is a fool who has thrown money out the window and who increased his or her chances of not getting an H1." | ||

USCIS RELEASES PRELIMINARY NUMBER OF FY 2009 H-1B CAP FILINGS WASHINGTON – U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) today announced a preliminary number of nearly 163,000 H-1B petitions received during the filing period ending on April 7, 2008. More than 31,200 of those petitions were for the advanced degree category. USCIS expects next week it will conduct the computer-generated random selection process, beginning with the selection of the 20,000 petitions under the advanced degree exemption. Those petitions not selected under the advanced degree category will join the random selection process for the cap-subject 65,000 limit.
