The counting for 24 district panchayats, 208 taluka panchayats and 53 municipalities was held on Saturday. Out of the 24 district panchayats, the BJP won clear majority in 21 while the Congress got majority in Gandhinagar and Tapi. Out of the 208 taluka panchayats, results of 157 were declared, in which BJP won 122, Congress 20 and Janata Dal - United two. In the three taluka panchayats, the verdict was fractured. In the 53 municipalities, the BJP has won 42 seats while the Congress and other parties got four seats respectively. In Porbandar, both the BJP and Congress won 21 seats each out of the total 42 seats. State Congress president Siddarth Patel resigned after the poll results, taking moral responsibility for the defeat. Forbes of America has changed, by not discussing India on the bases of child labor, poverty etc. Forbes has surveyed and given verdict that Gujarat is now emerging at par with Singapore. Forbes has said about Ahmedabad that the city is now leading in 40 to 50 criteria. If foreign magazine can see this, then I request political pundits of India to give a thought on why in Gujarat we win so massively. Think about that, what is the reason that we continue to win. The people continue to have faith in us even after so many years of power.â âThe people of Gujarat are appealing you to understand this subject of development. And I want to ask the people in power in Delhi, that you have crossed the limits, but the time has changed. The youths of this nation now know everything. If you disturb elected govt like this, the people would give answer to that. If I harass some Congress ruled Municipality, the people would not like it. The people of Gujarat likes democracy. Thereâs a federal structure, and if you attack on our privileges, then this negativity will not benefit you. Come, and discuss on table with Gujarat govt if you have any problem, but stop attacking Gujarat regime.â âThe way investigating and intelligence agencies of central govt, whether it is RAW or IB etc. are employed against Narendra Modi these days, is not proper. If they had employed them in similar way against Pakistan, then we could be free from terrorism.â âA man who was once a Chief Minister went to one Nagarpalika area and said BJP would not win one seat out of 25. Democracy has its own strength, and we live and die relying on democracy. This country can not run without democracy.â âThe tasks that were not completed in last five years, are to be completed now. Now Congress friends think, how suddenly this victory of BJP happened? But my friends, this has not happened suddenly. Team BJP is working 24Ã7 with devotion. Frequent Press Conferences donât make any change. When I was exploring the state for Garib Kalyan Melas, they alleged that I was just distributing Delhi fund. Then why they donât do it in Maharashtra? When I called Sarpanchs of all villages to Mahatma Gandhi Mandir, they didnât understand its importance. Even political pundits didnât understand. When 350 Garib Kalyan Melas are organized and welfare goes to the people, that sweat of doing that pays in election.â âWe want to go ahead from here with great feeling of responsibility. We want development, we want to work for farmers. We would show that change can be brought. Congress would not understand that in hot and humid month of June ,our whole govt goes to the field, and because of that hard work, a villager believes in us. This hard work pays. Faith can not be received just by words, but by hard work. We have taken pledge not to do anything wrong to others, to previous governments. What Congress Home minister was doing during their regime, is present and available to us in govt files, but we have not taken that path.
