The other day my roommate who lives in Washington DC went to a party... to his surprise he found our Sadist Engineering Mechanics Lecturer from our college in the party..talking about GC and his thippalu in getting one.. OTOH, we have a topper from our class in 3rd year Polytechnic and overall gaa 4th in class for 3 years combined...he could not get into Engineering because his rank was a lowly 1000+..I was lucky to get 809 He ended up setting up a Maruthi service station | ||

I want to share few funny incidents here...that happened Way back in 1989 when I joined my engineering..first day of the class..we were all waiting for the Lecturer to come in and start the class.. In comes a gentleman ..and everyone stood up to wish him ...and guess what..he was one of those (so called under priveleged) who joined engineering when he was turning 25..of course he never completed the course.. And there were few more seniors in other departments (who were also from the same social category)..valla full time job enti ante ...year lo 9 months roju cards adadamu ( I will not state the other good habits here )..3 months valla sontha ooriki povadam.. Vallaki government nunchi vachina dabbulu pool up chesi iddaru akkade local gaa Chicken stall open chesaru while still in college...of course by the time I joined the college they were already in their 5th or 6th year in the college and finally they dropped out...to make a full time earning somewhere else...they were from the same town as my roommate and hence I came to know about their history.. And there was one more roommate of mine(who told me this story later), who joined in sports quota...I played HCA cricket league at a pretty decent level for almost 6 or 7 years by then..I could not never figure out how he joined in sports quota ...because he could hardly run..later he told me ..he bought the certificate...On top of it ..his family had about 10 acres of land in Amalapuram..a gold shop and a leading cloth store...but this guy was claiming Economically backward scholarship ..he would use that money for petrol in the two wheeler that he drove to college ..while the rest of us used to take the college bus...Imagine waiting for a bus in 45/46 degrees Centigrade in the afternoon around 2 pm in Warangal.. | ||

Very true....I know how bad impacts such systems can have on poor FC families. What about those FC families suffering to earn bread ?? ....cannot imagine how it is going to badly hit their high ambitions  ....I myself struggled financially to seek my higher education, luckily there were no OBC's at that time........and those of my class-mates from SC's and ST's reservation comes from very wealthy families.
