did they give him any email address, btw, dont know about hyderabad or chennia but delhi all calls/emails are being handled by VFS which is of no use. they will only tell you about the status of your passport, whether received or not etc so dont know to which email address he's been asked to contact. btw, 221g clearly states that there is no definitive time frame. again, if he gets it within a week, good for him | ||

VO kept his passport with him and said it is for administration process and within 1 week if he didn't get any response, email them. ee case?? | ||

here's some examples 1) VO says you visa is approved but will have to do some admin processing it will take 2-3 weeks... kani 2-3 weeks has taken 4-8weeks for some 2) VO will issue 221g and says you will get to hear 4-6wks..one find day you will get a email saying send your passport..you will be under the impression that it will be done ...teera chusthe...its rejection stamping.. 3) VO will 221g and you have been waiting for more than a month or two...finally you will get a rejection letter saying your employer does not have a job for you. on the letter it says rejected by USCIS a month ago..ante..from the day it was rejected, it took more than a month for them to send that info to you.. and all this while your status still shows pending these are horror stories i have been reading.. | ||

delhi ki velthe..if you are issued green or yellow, you cant check the status online. however you can call Department of State in US to find the case status but they'll only tell you if it is pending or approved which wont be much of a help hyderabad lo, i am not wrong, you can atleast check the status online. chennai...if i were you i would avoid it.. | ||

It all depends on case by case basis...what i am saying is the number of 221g's having gone way high this year.. anduke to just to give you an example i gave you the chennai link... just look each day how many of them are issued..ofcourse you can never tell tell what these cases are whether h1,b1 etc.. | ||

nope..it could be anything..you never know..just check murthy.com forums... worse part for Yellow and Green 221gs - there is no way to find out the status. Prior to Oct 1st, you could atleast call up the consulate an dthey would tell you which stage it is.. whether pending or processed.. But now, consulate is no longer handling calls/emails..its been outsourced to VFS who will only tell you if they received the passport or not.. | ||

221g if you are from consulting and not a direct employee theres a 80% chance that you will be issued a 221g if you are going for visa stamping, and you work for a typical desi consulting company, get ready for 221g endless wait doesnt matter if you have 140 approved or you are married or you have never been on bench Until 2009 very few have been issued but in 2010 looks like every 2nd person was issued a 221g. just take a look at the number of pending cases.. way to interpret is this way http://chennai.usconsulate.gov/pdfs/adprocases101018.pdf batchid 2010291 ante 291 day annamata... so if its 2010217 it means date of interview on august 5 so please plan before you go to india for stamping.. |
