Why everything has to be scientific in life? why does every thing we do and desire has to be objective? What about subjectivity? universal consensus is not the motto of nature. For example, how do you explain love to your wife, parents, friends and kids? where is the objectivity and scientific method there? is there a way to quantify it? is there a way to compare your love for your parents to that of mine, scientifically? The evidence for the subjective realization for the question why can be noticed by the effects of their actions. Vivekananda inspired millions and that it self is the testimony. that IS the cop out. it's very easy to say to each his own and then claim that I am realized; a mad person can do the same as well. If you cannot show that end goal to a neutral entity, all that you claim does not exist for that entity. this is like one's belief in GOD; not scientific. and when you go on belief system that vivekananda was realized, I disagree because anyone that has found all the answers is either too vacuous or does not have to live anymore. | ||

completely disagree. The answer is there, but not the same for all. So if a person asks for why I am here, we cant give him a concrete answer and show him the pointers as you said, BUT the answer CAN be found by the individual himself. So your conclusion that vivekananda did not know a 'squat' is incorrect because he himself clearly mentioned his purpose and goals myriad times. The problem with people like me and rasp and most of us is - we get comfortable too easily. Once you are in that zone, you are done. You get no motivation and no planning ahead. Esp in america life is damn smooth. Single jetkaa padadu other than h1/gc issues. So instead of going deep into philosophical definitions of what whatever is, have a goal and work for it. My aim is to earn as much as I can even tho I dont get paid on what I have passion for, at the sametime having fun as much as i can. In this db, there's always someone watching you!! | ||

yup but realization can be triggered by a very small thing like the blossoming of a flower or that same realization can be triggered by the extreme cases you have mentioned .... its just that moment and mind set when the sky appears clear and you know that you can achieve it. Excruciating instances .... fear ... trauma due to external factors .... may change you but i believe its temporary and falters in the long run ... coz i believe human mind can undergo tons of trauma but be resistant to motivation from it ... training your mind to be constantly motivated is the most toughest challenge ... | ||

mama ... imo he never meant tht he is to be branded a failure ... nor does he think he is a failure coz wht he said does not infer that he thinks in that way ... i think the phrase "failure in life" is extremely relative to individuals and it is overly misused in colloquial talk. The point to ponder here is existence of an individual and identifying a driving force to succeed in achieving something close to one's heart (goal/goals/passion) while trying to fulfill pre-identified responsibilities (which constantly keep changing - family etc) without being in auto-pilot mode but actually enjoying those responsibilities in life ... waking up each day and thinking gosh life is beautiful. Lucky are those ppl who get that feeling naturally without being skeptical abt many things ... things that trigger doubts over your own ability and doubts whether you can find that ever elusive mantra for success ... which in my case is a mirage. | ||

when you get the basic stuff easily, itlanti questions osthayi. work is worship; you live to do 'something'. if not you are as good as dead. aa 'something' keeps changing with time but unfortunately you cannot change with the same speed. so the unhappiness. college avangaane, you may have wanted to get into a job, very excited etc. and you got in, happy for a while. then monotony sets in and I am sure your interests changed too, maybe make a movie or maybe follow sports fulltime. but you are locked into the present job and hence cannot flow with the wind; hence the frustration. for most of us, there's NOT one thing that is our passion our entire lives; but we end up doing only ONE thing which becomes our identity and that's where the disconnect and frustration sets in. this is where artists are at an advantage, they normally have only one passion and when they are good at it, they are very very happy. most of us keyboard types miss that. | ||

Edo teliyani frustration ... past lo xyz achieve chesamu ... we peaked already ... everything looks like its in doldrums present is a drag ... future looks feeble ... future lo we can achieve xyz glory ... cheyyagalam kaani motivation ledu tak tak tak keyboard ... jobs tasks completion salary padatam bills kattatam wknd enjoy cheyyatam life drains from u ... happiness and sadness merge nothing happens anymore ... little things take precedence ... a new movie release makes u happy ... same day u experience a sinking feeling in your heart gosh things cud have been better IF ... again u reminisce the glorious past but only the good parts in our past ... usually in present we hate it so much in comparison to the past that we often forget that past had its woes too ... past too we had struggles and sinking feelings too but we also had an equal motivation that led us to glory ... we lack that motivation in present ... nothing makes us rejoice that every breathe we take in life anymore ... i seldom stop to notice a cute baby smile or a little maltese puppy barking ... little joys in life seldom touch my soul ... everything is a distraction its like everything seems to have a life of its own in parallel with an eventual end and nothing integrates with my life ... | ||
