users also upgrading to office 2007... so we need to upgrade all our applications that were designed for word 2003 xml format needs to work with 2007 too... everything seems working without any change except embeding in IE. thanks | ||

acf, What happens if a user does not have the Compatibility Pack for the 2007 Office? The best option for you is to convert 2007 office files into 2003 office format and embed the doc version. However if you are gonna have more than 64k of data , then you need to split the 2007 document | ||

Hi all, we have a web application written in asp.net and office 2003 where we display excel file in the browser itself for user input and other processing. Also have word xml files (.xml) that are embeded in IE for viewing... Now we need to upgrade our office 2003 to 2007 for this we have to test all our applications... coming to my problem... I can open and do all processing without changing the extention (from .xls to .xlsx or word 2003 xml to word xml) but the problem is the files are not embeded in the IE.. they are being opened in respective app ie word 2007 and excel 2008... Any suggestions on how to embed the 2007 files in IE? on googling i found that changeing some registry settings will do but i dont want to go this route... i am just giving a simple HTML code that will work for word 2003 but not word 2007 <html> <frameset> <frame> <frame> </frameset> </html> thanks in advance |
