Just an FYI...

Also, some firms don't charge commission when a market order could not be filled due to some unforeseen problem with in certain time (ex:10 seconds)...

No commission is charged for the completely unfilled orders.

But transaction fee is charged for part-filled orders. Even if the remaining part expires or is cancelled by you, the transaction fee is charged fully.

For each brokerage firm, there is a limit on number of stocks you can buy or sell per transaction. With Ameritrade for ex: if you are buying 10000 stocks of ticker INTC, it will be treated as 2 transactions, as only 5000 stocks are allowed per transaction...

suppose I put a limit order for buy.

the order did not get executed and got expired.

The transaction/commission fee for the order... is it returned back to me or not?
