The prospect of Chiranjeevi launching a political party hangs like a Damocles’ sword in the heads of many political parties. The TDP is no exception. Chandra Babu Naidu only knows to well that there are many disgruntled elements in his party who are waiting for the right opportunity o switch sides. Many leaders cutting across caste lines are now evincing a keen interest in joining Chiranjeevi’s party. Babu is not saying anything in public but in private, he would like to do his bit to tarnish the image of Chiranjeevi as much as possible so that his effect can be nullified to some extent. Chiranjeevi has been running his chartable trusts and conducting blood donation and eye donation caps. The TDP has also embarked upon charitable activities in a big way. The activities are being conducted in the name of the NTR trust as well. The TDP wants to project that it is doing charitable activities on a much larger scale and much more transparently. The TDP is also trying to bring out some lapses and irregularities in the Chiranjeevi charitable trust and thereby defame Chiru.
