The Brahmin community which has 3.8 % of total votes and concentrated majorly in urban areas(Hyderabad Brahmin population varies between 10 to 21%) started enjoying the yesteryears prominence in the political landscape because of the multicornered fights. Brahmins are supposed to seal the fate of parties in atleast 40 constituencies. TDP is trying to woo the brahmin vote bank by proposing Govadha nishedham in their manifestooo. This small sentimental issue which is close to every brahmin is likely to go well with them. Although not a radical decision which will make the entire brahmin populace look towards TDP it sure will be a first step in the Right direction. |
