yes sunpharma looks good..... its following a beautiful channel with higher high and higher low (sign of uptrend). based on trendline it should alteast go till 830. the worrying part is the huge and consistent "gaps" on day charts. after a steady up move there is a sudden gap down and later the stock takes weeks to cover that gap-down. its not that i can draw it. am comfortable with those charts because the error in their signal is very less, from my observation. in a choppy market, no chart can do it right. yes, sometimes some stats/charts give exact opposite interpretation. here is how you can measure the accuracy of PF chart. pick any chart with a signal. look out for the date it gave signal, and see if it stuck to the signal or not. for example $AAPL and $DIS in us market - from the date of the bearish flag, i see only small pop and big drops. $NEE was given bullish one month back. in spite of bad market, it is still at same level as it was on that bullish date. | ||

thanQ, looks very good. one quick question as you are comfortable with P&F charts. in the scanner i pulled P&F Triple Top Breakout criteria - it had HDFCBANK as one of the stock. I pulled the bar chart for the stock and looks like it is stuck in a channel of 1090 - 1040. P&F and Bar chart will not be in sync? if per P&F its a triple top breakout then its a good sign of upmove (correct me in case m wrong), but per Bar chart not much sign of a strong upmove. Bro - frankly naku market emi artham aithaledu clueless undi konchem as there are not many triggers for market, it might react to any small +ve or -ve news if you know what i mean. coming to TCS - 1) its very close to 52 week low, so usually konchem bounce avochu but adhi sustain avakapothe inka pade chances untai. 2) 2400 ni strong volume toh break chesi if it can sustain above 2450 then i think it can go more 3) lets say if it breaks 2400 convincingly , still it might hover around 2400-2450 if market remain flat (again based on triggers) so in case you are playing with options then factor in time decay. finally came out of misery albeit at loss the stock might end up at 700 but due to last couple of weeks of downtrend of overall market i lost money due to time factor in options. i squared off positions when stock was at 682, 689 etc much above than my buy strike price but then option value was lost due to time decay. #lesson Learnt: after the big breakout i should have waited for a pullback to enter. for this price action is better setup - the more we follow indicator the more we complex things. One simple method which is can think of is called "3-15 MA crossover" Playing with Support/Resistance level is good - so chart reading tappadu.
