When former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was alive, nobody dare question the authority of his friend and advisor K V P Ramachandra Rao. In fact, nothing would move in the government without KVP giving the nod. Now that YSR is no more, the Congress leaders are not caring much for KVP, though he is still playing a key role in the government affairs and is playing behind the screen role for YSR’s son Jaganmohan Reddy. On Wednesday, Congress MP from Amalapuram G V Harsh Kumar questioned the role of KVP in the Congress party affairs. While participating in the MPs’ meeting convened by PCC president D Srinivas at Gandhi Bhavan to discuss the membership drive, Harsh Kumar suddenly got up and asked why KVP Ramachandra Rao was sitting on the dais. “Who is KVP? What is his role? He is like another MP like us. He should have sit along with other MPs. What is his speciality to occupy the seat on the dais?” he asked DS.
