allergies. Arch nemesis.  Tried all OTCs - Allegra to Zyrtec. Initially they worked.. but then after a week or so they somehow doesnt work. Tried allergy shots. Went through it for two-and-half years. Nothing changed. Finally through my taiwanese friend, came to know about some taiwanese herb mix. This is the only one that is working for me *touchwood* Four spoons in warm water. Twice a day. Symptoms are considerably less severe. The taiwanese doctor says "this is all from your ayurveda. My teacher learned from some ayurveda doctor from India and I learned from him" etc and spoke about the power of ayurveda for 15 minutes. Though the mix works, it is costly. Now, came across an acupuncture doctor who says he has some technique that he learned from Dr Namboodripad and swears by it. I went through the session few weeks ago. Hope that would fix it for good. Neilmed does show some effect in lessening the severity of symptoms. I am also using Cromolyn eye drops for itchy eyes - sometimes the symptoms are so severe even the herb/neilmed doesnt work. | ||

that is one side of the equation about sneezing............if it is truly about allergens and body not identifying the external matter properly....... other side of the equation is digestion......if ur digestion is not good......learn what to eat and how to eat.........more than anything, walk run or whatever.........get off that couch............. Ferrari's problem seems more of this category........once in a while masala food or whatever.......and digest chesukuney dammu lekapothey body ki......indigestion can easily lead to sinus impacts and sneezing stuff.........lack of sleep leads to indigestion too........ there is a reason........that u gotta be mindful of what u eat and what makes sense and works for u..............food is a culture, not just a democratic right I guess........ Nasal rinse and NEti pot for a few weeks.........daily twice atleast......seems best way to go about it........... btw, stop going crazy thinking bhakths and all.........there is science behind it.......sinus has some hair follicle type structures called cilia.......when living in cold countries and dry places.......they are messed up and stop acting as the needed defence against pollutants..........this is the underlying problem that leads to allergies........ with medication, it only suppresses the symptoms.......and never cures the underlying issue.........and that too not really in a good way.....kinda drowsy weird feeling.......u never feel ur total self............ with nasal rinse.........salt water cleans up the sinus and within a few weeks......the cilia gets restored and then underlying problem gets resolved.......and now body stops its extreme immune reactions to normal stuff like dust and other allergens........ | ||

recently i noticed when i smell tulasi leaves or when i am near tulasi plant it was amazingly awesomely getting so much relief with pollen allergies. no wonder our ancestors find such a miracle plants. wow what a plant , just try if you have seasonal allergies. |
