I had CCIV $50 strike covered calls expired last Friday. All shares gone. No regrets even it pops another 30 bucks after merger announcement

Goonda:

what is your guess on how high CCIV will go after Lucid merger ? Current valuation is too high..

CCIV/Lucid is really a over hyped deal..with actually not a single car delivered!
CCIV may pop up this week after official merger announcement..but will settle much below..Now that EV stock boom is settling down and rvn stocks like TSLA are very much off the peaks buying CCIV at this price is risky

The safe play with SPAC is to find one which is backed by a team which had history of successful deals (likes of Chamats,Ackmans ,Churchill’s etc)and invest at near IPO price < $12 ..wait for news /rumors and sell on Pump = profits..atleast 20 to 40 percent profits is not bad at all..instead of holding the SPACs for months waiting for a big win which is not guaranteed
The people who float the SPACs are not in hurry to make money..but locking of capital in SPACs for months is dead money since it is a blind play (atleast in pre ipo we are sure of the company we have invested)

NIO is far better choice at $50 .

Yes ,SPAC is a bubble..every tom and d!ck are folating SPACs..cos it is lurative. The min guarantee for them is 20% ..which translates to $50 million for even $250 million SPAC ..

If they find a good target..it is a big pay day ..even if not their min profit is guaranteed with in few months...all without investing single penny !

There around 400 SPACs in market ,waiting to find a target to merge !
