Three Hyundai-Kia auto-part suppliers — Hwashin, Seoyon and Iwamet — have chosen to invest in AP over Tamil Nadu, committing Rs 1.6k cr and 1,418 jobs in Anantapur.

The breakthrough follows Minister Nara Lokesh July roundtable with Hyundai-Kia supply chain companies in Seoul.

Swift follow-up by AP's AP_EDB converted those discussions into MoUs within months.

It is learnt that three firms had earlier held talks with the Tamil Nadu government but decided on AP.
