BRS social media is having meltdown over the NTR statue at Maitrivanam. When KTR was chasing votes, he practically unrolled the red carpet in Khammam to claim NTR’s legacy. Now that they are kicked out of power, honoring the same Telugu icon is suddenly a crime? Installing this statue was a direct election promise made by CM Revanth Reddy during the Jubilee Hills bypoll campaign, and the people mandates it by voting for Congress. It’s a mandate-backed tribute, pure and simple. Deliberately ignoring the democratic choice of the voters in Jubilee Hills just shows how detached from reality the BRS ecosystem has become.
