UK too - We are consuming more energy from renewable sources than conventional sources now. Good progress. This world appearance is a confusion: even as the blueness of the sky is an optical illusion. I think it is better not to let the mind dwell on it, but to ignore it. |

All of what you say, is nice.. for a rhetoric.. doesnt giv any solution or roadmap.. Coal is a huge natural resourse available to us - and we are sticking to it, inspite of the environ concerns, manpower concerns, feasibility.. with advent of renewable sources - we are in dearth of adaptation practices - Solar,Wind have high installation upfront charges and long term benefits.. we are also in short of the land that will have to be allocated.. on the point of privatisation - YES Reliance already had setup in MAH areas to supply power - but well if these facilities get into hands of corps - then you will spam saying corruption, Adani ki dobbettam, Vadra mingesad.. PS: couple of close frnds founded energy startups in AP, doing decently well but its an uphill task brahma satyam jagan-mithyä jivo brahmaiva näparah |

Pavala:Balli in mainland Europe, offshore wind power beats coal by price
that's because the power sector in western Europe is privatized......you can choose the type of energy you buy.... in Germany, I bought power from RWE. in the Netherlands it private and public.... the main distributor from power producers to the regional grid is a public operator TenneT....then the local distributors to end consumers are private companies. while in the Netherlands I can choose the company I can buy the power from...so if I want the more green option the price may be a few cents higher per Kwh...so, if many people want green energy the distribution companies buys from the more green producer and the non renewable coal etc will be reduced by demand and supply..... its like increase in awareness by education... in India everything is publicly owned...so, take the example of T, it has coal mines so it subsidizes coal to its own thermal plants... which may look like the cheaper price....but its heavily subsidized....unlike renewables which are private operators mostly... Capacity vundi, laziness, and uninspired life is a waste of time. YOLO kada.... But experiences is how you bring meaning to life. Worthiness should be earned with adequate efforts. |

Renewable energy may look pricear...but it's environment-friendly and healthy .... look at this video.. https://youtu.be/vx9G_1Yv4jc?t=132 this is every person in Andhra breathing the sulphur, nox emissions from thermal plants for next 30+ years.... it will increase the incidence of cancer, respiratory diseases, cardio vascular problems. thermal power is heavyly subsidized.... 1)initial costs are low as they are established during the era of subsidies for such plants. 2)coal is subsidized by our government for plants. 3)no plant pays for the health effects of thermal power. buy the power based on the carbon footprint not on the production cost. Capacity vundi, laziness, and uninspired life is a waste of time. YOLO kada.... But experiences is how you bring meaning to life. Worthiness should be earned with adequate efforts. |
