To increase coverage and services to people, since RTC is in losses, if there are 3rd parties that are available to fill in that space on contract basis, it wont be a bad idea.

But these contacting companies have to working under the policies of APSRTC. I say this could be a model to bring private companies into APSRTC and immediately jump the quality of service and prices.

KE family Kotla family ran buses between villages you know??

If running between villages is profitable enough why not in whole state?)

Look, andhra has 160k sq km area of which srikakulam to Guntur is densely packed and can be privatized without much consequence....

From prakasam there is a need for better administration..so it must sell the routes....individually...where it’s not possible government can run it....auctioning and regulating then again maintaining wherever not possible.
Capacity vundi, laziness, and uninspired life is a waste of time.

we are a poor country.. don;t be deceived by city life.. city lo kuda poverty chaala vundi..

All you said can be matrialized, but not yet.. there's a lot of time for it.. decades of time..

People think government must give them pensions government must provide jobs government must provide low prices government must provide low rate petrol etc etc etc

Nothing wrong in People wanting govt. jobs coz of the benefits.. We do the same thing here.. compare the benefits and go for a company that offers more.
Why should it be any different in India??

You are talking about Hiring right people for jobs. Thats one part of the management. I am mostly talking about the benefits that people will get as end-users yaa.

Mana ki so many villages, small towns, I say practically all of AP is connected by the bus services. The impact of any decisions will be huge.

No the thing is it has aristocratic and colonial roots .....

Let me say you why I say it ....

Perception drivers the actions and reality...

Perception.

People think government must give them pensions government must provide jobs government must provide low prices government must provide low rate petrol etc etc etc

Reality

Government don’t have money for everything, it must tax or get money by indirect taxes on goods.

There is a contradiction here

Why such thinking is arising??

Because we still think in aristocratic and colonial ways....

You need pension??

Earn it ....work for the state so that you can pay taxes to your fatherland, so when you retire you’ll get pension....

After decentralization of all sectors government must regulate the market with fist and iron ....

Barber —must have vocational training in saloon else he can’t run the shop.
Automate the washing industry...
Plumber—must have the vocational training in plumbing else he can’t do the job
Construction worker- he must have the vocational training in construction else he can’t work
Mechanic—vocational training in parts repair
Same with carpentry smithy etc etc...

Decentralization and strict regulation on skill market will create perfect job market

That our governments must do ....

Low iq or higher iq people will get job they deserve based on education.

m against the centralized public sector in every field....

You are right for developed countries.. But not for INDIA :-(

Nationalization of Banks by Indira Gandhi regime
Private bank were unreliable and 361 banks failed from 1947 to 1955. nenu chinnappudu Charminar bank ani kuda vinnaanu
These private banks completely ignored rural/agricultural sector.

So, bottomline, if not for Nationalized banks, the really poor farmer has no place to go to.
If not for Govt. taking over transportation, many villages in India wouldn't have proper transportation..

Also, as of now it is chinna chithaka travels/transportation companies..
Edo oka roju Reliance laantodu all chinna companies varasaga konesi transportation ni monopolize chesthe enti paristhithi??

I for one, think that transportation should be Public owned.
Leka pothe USA laaga cars leka pothe kashtam.. Greyhound lo vaadu entha pedithe antha laaga ayipothadi..

I think all those Bus accidents on highways we hear about, most of them are Private Buses where those companies won't have norms as to provide an alternate driver if the journey is x hours or more..

Yes and no,

But it’s creating an inefficient ecosystem.....

Look at people applying for apsrtc, drivers and conductors engineers bsc msc guys.....

This is a cacophony.....

Drivers must be people trained in it ....who must be from a vocational training on driving....and that vocational education is for guys who are unable to study science, arts etc in intermediate....which is skill training for that particular job for less iq people....

Same with group 1, group 2 etc

Why should engineering or science student do it??

It must be given to people who studied political science or economics to n bachelors

People are thinking government as a milking cow for permanent job ....that attitude must change ....

It’s the same ideology that says a king owns everything and at his disposal he can give anything to anyone.....

NO

It’s a democracy now....

Government must be a regulatory body not a sole empowered central agency for jobs etc....

This decentralization can happen only when government gets rid of its organs of sectoral investment...

In non profit things it can subsidize...but not maintain them by its own.

I’m against the centralized public sector in every field....
Capacity vundi, laziness, and uninspired life is a waste of time.

Why should government have apsrtc Indian railways, etc etc departments in 2019 ??

Unlike developd countries, public transportation of passengers is very critical for the public. Once you are outside the cities and towns, buses are important for travel though more people have cars and motorcycles today.

Private companies become lobbies and work for profits as we have seen already.

I think konni villages ki, though not profitable, govt. will provide connectivity..
Privatization ayithe, they just get rid of the routes or have very minimal buses(like 1 bus/day) in those villages.. and motham city lo, where good revenue can be minted lo nadipisthaaremo..

Privatization and being capitalistic will work for developed countries..
mana laanti country lo may be it is better the govt. controls a few things anedhi naa opinion :-)

No I prefer privatization with government control on prices.....

That way governments don’t need to burden and consumer prices also in control....in loss areas government can subsidize the money....

Why should government have apsrtc Indian railways, etc etc departments in 2019 ??

Will govt put extra buses during holidays so that the people dont have to pay 4-5 times more?

Better there be no availability rather than Govt. procuring extra buses for Holidays..
Extra buses ki extra cost. Extra drivers and resources..

I don't think whatever business these extra buses bring during Holidays will offset the cost of their procurement and maintenance..
edo already kaaliga vunna buses or reallocation of existing is better

Seems like a good decision. Good for employees.

How is itbgood for the millions of people who travel by bus every day.

Steps should be taken to control private services that eat into APSRTC revenue.

Will govt put extra buses during holidays so that the people dont have to pay 4-5 times more?
