//How many sitting seats for BJP?

8 or 9 are of BJP

Good thing is BSP and SP likely to contest on their own

11 MLAs have contested for Parliament and won the elections in Uttar Pradesh

Need to see how many can BJP retain them.

Typically ruling parties win the bypolls but fumble in general election(we have seen in Nandyal and Karnataka)

On the otherhand BJP either in opposition or ruling tend to loose bypolls but has higher chance of winning them back in General elections
