I think it was a great episode. The fact that most people are calling it a bad episode makes me think it was more and more good. Because, things that happened in this episode were which not many people saw coming. All of this to make John(noble man) believe that the queen he bent the knee to is not actually worth it. Now I feel, every-time he said that Dany is his queen, to anyone who asked him to take the throne will only add up when he decides that she is not the right one. Thats gives him an elevation of being a people's man and not king's or queen's man. Another reason I why i think it was beautifully written was because i make you empathize with Cersi, however cruel she was through the 8 seasons. When you can change a viewer's opinion of 10 years with in just 1 hour, inthakante awesome writing untada? | ||

Disappointed. The quality of writing has taken a huge hit since the show deviated. While they still ended up making a few great episodes since Season 7, they relied more on spectacle and twists than actual plot and writing for wat the series was popular for. While Mad Queen Theory is no doubt GRRMs end game reveal, the reasons for progression of that character arc spiralling into that madness leaves a lot to be desired. It's like she is totally sane even till S08 Episode 03 and within a couple of episodes goes cuckoo. Really? WTF was that? That too for deaths of friends? Since when was GOT abt lullaby's and happy endings? Whatever happened to Benioss and Weiss's interview a few years back when they insisted that she would never be her father, The Mad King and not a sadist or ruthless like him. All of 7 and a half seasons, they foreshadow her as the next great hope and a just and sensible one and that only to make her a caricature. Atleast take time to show that descent into Madness! Now there is simply no redemption for her character arc and we know there is only one way this is gonna end. AMEN! Final detailed analysis next week on the most anticipated series of all time. | ||
