First Half Report: The entire first half barring the intro and interval comprises of the college flashback. It feels very lengthy and lacks great entertainment or strong emotion given the duration. There are a couple of sequences which work well involving Mahesh Babu and Allari Naresh, but everything else feels underwhelming. We would like to stay mum on the love track. Overall, an average first half. The second half holds the key now. Final Report: The second half of Maharshi needed the best of entertainment and emotion but it offers none barring a block. The honest intentions are appreciable but the artificiality and routine hotchpotch ruins everything. The first half itself is somewhat dull but after the second half, it feels better. The same is the case with the love track and the antagonist. Overall at near three hours run time, Maharshi wears you down. | ||

In first half production values are good , shot in the backdrop of Manhattan Skyline , showcasing the lifestyle of a CEO w/ Choppers , Limos and yachts.. entire setup was good Songs are just okay, doesn’t help much to the commercial aspect ! Final Report: Mahesh’s Milestone & 25th film ‘Maharshi’ has a good subject on surface. Deals with Education system in first half, farmers issues in second half, but one feels director has picked too many themes. First half is decent , second half is flat until pre-climax. Even though Pre Climax , Climax episodes are Good and Emotional, one feels tedious at this point! Only God knows why the director needs three hour length ! Same story , scenes can be narrated in 2:30 Hrs with same effectiveness in terms of emotions ! Rishi’s journey is ideologically good , but since the central point of the movie Allari Naresh’s thread is weak , the overall impact is not as good it’s supposed to be. Mahesh’s Performance in Younger Rishi role , and in Climax scenes is Very Good. All other cast performed good as well Yawn movie last undi.. Sunday afternoon uncles in HT with lungi and leg shaking movie..
