india lo doctors chese fraud ki - aa collected data is useless.

first off the docs in india r outdated... they dont keep themselves abreast of latest developments in medicine. and related feilds..and moreover indian education system is rigid n unscientific..
they dont think an inch beyond what is there in the stale medical books which is mostly outdated and false...
the utmost important thing is to nurture scientific outlook in people of all walks of life...

it took quite a while before EMR is standardized in USA and other western markets too!!

I am sure Standardized EMr model in India is possible. The difficult part is doctor's adoption. I spoke to couple of guys who had started up with promise and folded last year. The theme I got is that doctors and hospitals are not willing to spend money on EMr. They don't have problems using it if given free or cheap.
I think some one with deep pockets should look into it . Float free EMR's and capture data.. in 5-10 yrs, they can turn it into a very potent weapon. I believe big players like reliance are already looking into it.

good to know.. lets see how far would the data be used for real research helping people or for manipulation/misinterpretation for their own benefit...

yes . Compliance is going to be huge problem in India.
But once the records are captured, it creates a trail that may force accountability

Nisarga:

how? FDI's ?

not just FDI. There is a lot of domestic private fund as well. Significant VC fund is getting in
Heavy emphasis to using artificial intelligence in health care. The foundation for such technology is capture of good health record data . Check the startup space. Companies like advancells, niramai etc with heavy focus on research

Slow ga medical devices medha nunchi focus medical platforms meedha ki move avuthundhi.. telemedicine is on the brink of explosion (just my observation and opinion. No industry data to back this up)

Nisarga:

every branch has their own record how much ever big the hospital is...

Certain specific areas have tremendous potential. Lot of money is being pumped into Indian healthcare research.
If India institutes EMr for atleast 30% population , that will be a goldmine for research. As of now, there is not much.. but keep eye open in this area.
The whole population health management will have a new meaning once India effectively gets into it!!

Compliance and Privacy are significant concern

India has or can have tremendous amount medical data given it's population and the diseases. It could use it and do research with it and can come up with many many medical discoveries leading the world...
not sure if docs and med providers really document the data accurately and effectively in India.....
the superfluous vainglorious(the very doubtful past) attitude will never help...
