until he gets close to a 100...his SR is typically low when he finishes like you said with the big bash at the end , his overall SR ends up > 100 can you check how many of those big bashes have come in chases? a chase , where he accelerated in the middle overs to seize momentum and out pressure on the bowlers not a chase, where he has it going on from first PP he is a top ODI batsman in the past 4-5 years after so many previous years of being mediocre does that make him the middle order who will get yo from 270 to 330 often? that being said, your statement holds when a top order batsman will be present in death overs | ||

This is not accurate. Virat, strikes at or above 150 SR once he plays himself in. Same with Dhoni. When these guys fail, there is no recovery though. Kedar plays at about 100 SR but very effective if he stays in form. | ||

I watched a video of Gaurav, Vaughan and Harsha discussing India WC squad one interesting point was the exclusion of some one pant to give the booster effect in the middle orders to propel the MI towards a big score how this line up is a 270-280 line up but not a 330 line up, which is kind of the par score these days on good batting pitches rohit - slow starter dhawan - usually is the first among the two trying to get to 100 SR and our approach is to cut down risk in first ten overs virat, dhoni., kedar...all three will be +/- 10 of 100SR hardik has been phenomenal in finishing innings for MI but can he do the same coming in at 35th over...to get a 50 odd off 30 odd balls? ...doubt it rahul/dk/vs...all three same SR maxwell, morgan/buttler, miller....these guys give the impetus to their teams champions trophy loss was bowlers failure to pick up wkts in the middle got rid of ashwin, jaddu is not a fix for playing XI if kul-cha do well, this is the best bowling unit since a long tine but batting looks underwhelming WC 15, champions trophy ...same story repeats...top 3 get big scores early stages and when they fail...no answerss |
