Chevella Congress candidate is strong but the party is weak. It lost 5 of the 7 assembly segments in Chevella. Of the two it won, one candidate (Sabitha Indra Reddy) defected. Sabitha Indra Reddy's son previously contested as Chevella MP candidate and was an aspirant for Rajendranagar this time. Both his parents served as home ministers and his mother represented Chevella assembly in the past and is representing Maheshwaram now. It is reasonable to assume that they have good clout in Chevella LS segment. If Vishweshwar Reddy manages to win despite this it would be a phenomenal achievement. MBNR lo BJP anti-incumbency and anti-Congress votes split chestadi. I have a feeling that it would split more anti-incumbency votes and end up benefiting TRS.
