NY/NJ is way below Bay area in everything. A buddy of mine who used to earn 150K in NJ moved to Bay area for 350K job. he came back in an year. He downsized his life pretty much (smaller home, lot more for kids day care etc) and has literally no savings even after downsizing life in BA. | ||
