for .net developer without java background how difficult is it to work on spring boot projects?

its fairly straight forward.. depends on what you are trying to do though.

technology is just a medium, dont think too much about it. no one creates new technology because it makes thing tougher :-) . If you were a serious developer in the past, the newer tech just makes much faster.

we used the way you described. you have a serialized java object on the producer side (in kafka world called as source) save it as json object. and all the data is accessed thru zookeeper.

thanks.

pega ki demand undaa?
is it worth to learn it?
or u suggest getting certified in aws or azure?

I would say learn both and see what you like...

Especially AWS/Azure certification is going to be a commodity in future. Whoever has it will have additional advantage even in other kind of jobs.

The world is going cloud rout.
If you have one of AWS or Azure,
you can think cloud for any job you do and get additional advantage over others in the team.

initially we used single nodes for kafka and zookeeper.

then we happened to interview a guy who was committer for kafka and zookeeper and he laughed at us.

he said we need at least three instances of them running to get basic reliability.

in kafka/zookeeper understanding the options is important.

anyone worked on Kafka?

I did work in my previous project with a top 10 bank.

We used Kafka for the below use cases

1) Communication between several micro-services which are running on the cloud
2) Log Monitoring.

do u use real time data/analytics?
do u use predictive analytics?

real time data - our data infrastructure team processes 100TB of compressed data, 4 trillion events, and 100B real time events daily

analytics - mostly offline analytics to measure how Ads are performing and generate metrics for the customers

predictive analytics undadhu kani, we have team called Real Time Bidding that does bidding on Ad Exchanges, this team builds models to determine if bidding on an Ad is profitable and has a chance for conversion, this is just one example

100% of my team applications are running on containers (ECS - Docker), very easy to scale and manage your service

downside is on AWS, you need to front your containers with an ALB or ELB

that adds some extra cost if your application is public facing and the throughput requirements are very high

If you are using it... are you married to Azure or AWS or something else?

Ad Tech company, building latency sensitive applications -

so the obvious choice is AWS for us, all of our infra is on AWS and no local or remote data centers

we operate in us-west-2, us-east-1, ap-ne-1, eu-we-1 and ap-se-1 regions lo running our Application and data bases with cross region replication setup.

we cannot move to GCP or Azure, since all our applications for the last year are based off AWS services and it doesn't make sense for us to explore other cloud providers

we get good discounts (45%) on EC2 instances and another 30-40% for reserving DynamoDB capacities

Look into these guys, i am using this

https://www.bouncycastle.org/java.html

Actually, I did use it. But after implementing it, the other party wanted a solution that worked with jdk 6. so did not go to production.

Here is how I used it. Very very simple to use.

https://connect2id.com/products/nimbus-jose-jwt

nimbus-jose-jwt is a wrapper that can be used very easily.

But I had to drop because it requires min jdk 7 and other side users had jdk 6 only.
