Usual disclaimers - I am a novice in politics. Know very little about YSR... __________________________________ I went with zero expectations given the talk and average ratings and it's genre etc. I wouldn't have gone for the movie in theater if it was not for my neighbor who is very closely associated with the film. But i really loved the movie. Very impressed. I am still trying to figure out why i liked the movie - Mammotty's brilliant portrayal of late YSR ? Serious content based movie without any commercial elements like punch dialogues, heroism elevations etc ? Heart wrenching scenes like hospital episode, vegetable market episode etc ? Or just that i am a sucker for sentimental movies ? First half was slow paced and goes in documentary style except for few scenes here and there. But 2nd half engages you thoroughly. I am not sure how much of it is really true... i am assuming they have taken lot of cinematic liberties and created the drama. Mammootty as YSR , Rao Ramesh as KVP, lady played the role of YSR wife etc perfect fit for their respective roles. Kathi / Khaidi 150 movies were based on farmer's theme but i couldn't connect with them as much as i did for this movie. Give it a try if you haven't already. Don't say you don't have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresea, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein |
