They are given an Open WP ranging from 18 months to 36 months and during that time - they should have worked in a formal job for atleast 12 months! Then PR is guaranteed. If they do informal jobs during that time, then also they may get PR if they are very young and score high on Age factor. | ||

Do not fall for this.....This is just an election hype to get Hindu+Sikh+Muslim votes.... It is already tough - Applications for PRs made through shady consulting companies are being rightly rejected(to show job offers and hence get extra points) - Extreme cases where those with PR were turned away at the border because they did not enter the country earlier within the 5 year period. Most probably Progressive Conservatives will will and there will be a cleanup in terms of Linking the benefits being given (CBT, HealthCard etc) to the CRA and doing an audit on these | ||
