Use temporal database design Meeting room had its own active from and active to Projector has its own active from and active to Those two are master tables And a relation table like meeting schedule has it own time like meeting start and meeting end And write following procedures to schedule new meeting or to cancel e siting meeting or to retrieve Meetings between given date and times GetValidMeetingRoomsAsOf by passing a translation date as parameter GetValidProjectorsAsOf by passing a transaction date as parameter ListAllMeetings and in service layer you apply logic based on parameters from UI layer or Based on outcome of above said two procedures Or GetAllMeeyingsByMeetingRooomIdAsOf by passing valid meeting room Id and a transaction date GetAllMeeyingsByProjectorIdAsOf by passing valid projector Id and a transaction date GetAllMeeyingsByMeetingRoomIdProjectorIdAsOf by passing valid meeting room ID, projector ID and given transaction dates Some more later I post Driving is my PASSION. If we need to design meeting room application. How do you approach. On UI, You need to select " from date,time and To date,time", Meeting room name, seating capacity and projector avilability. How do you design database or service. |
