First of all....GA gaanni thannali! Asalu nuvvu 3.25 ela icchav raa! First time suitcase ki kakkurthi paddav. Ideally GA rating wud hav been 2.75. Coming to the point, Graphics and 3d thappithey movie lo peddha matter emi ledu. Ee saari point and sentiment on birds. Shankar Babu, manushulu potheyney pattinchukoni rojullo bird sentiment ni ela pindudhaamanukunnav? While core concept of radiation is appreciable, it was submerged under bird sh!t. Radiation itself shud hav been explored more and many other adverse affects shud hav been showcased. Akshay Kumar absolutely wasted. You can neither recognize him in human or the supernatural avatar. He was jst used for padding. Rajni wasn't at his best except in a couple of scenes. Infact, I felt First half was a bit better incl. the VFX with all the cellphones. Second Half graphics are a let down. There is a decent build up and flow in 1st half which goes missing in the second. Too many things happen. Shankar decided to use some good bits of original Robo and end the movie. Climax was predictable and totally lacks any emotion wrt Akshay Kumar character after his flashback buildup. Too many holes in the script too. Major one being if the Supernatural force can control Cellphones which are a processor based, how difficult is it for it to control a Robot which is nothing but Processor based? Anyways, good bits are VFX in some portions, attempt of conveying illaffects of Radiation and implementation of 3D in some scenes was good. Entertainment is given in small doses. Literally no songs except during end titles and BG score doesn't stand out even if the sound recording does. And one more thing, Shankar simply cannot break the Northern Hindi belt becoz he simply doesn't know how. Oka Pan India appeal tho movie chestunnappudu, how can u limit urself to Chennai city and the Arava vasana? Except Akshay and one other actor, no where it feels like a universally appealing movie to outside TN. Thokka aaduddhi idhi North belt lo! Overall, the movie packs in too little emotion to move such a high budget hyped product. By the end, you feel it's a one time watch at best tht too for visual extravaganza. Absolutely no repeat value. Rating: 2.75/5 P.S: 15 of us went to the movie and the common n best review was Avg. |
