Alan Gemmell, OBE, Director, British Council India, met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to discuss strengthening educational cooperation to support the knowledge ambitions and economic growth of Andhra Pradesh. According to a statement by the British Council, the State government has created more than 4,000 virtual classrooms in schools across the State. As per the discussion, the British Council, which is the UK’s international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities, may collaborate with the Andhra Pradesh government to provide virtual education to improve skills in English language among school students through these classrooms. |

Its quite possible, companies are still in the mode of treating these indian cities as sources of bulk, cheap labor ( IT coolies especially ) .. though, the firms i have worked in, have started to think of these centers, more for the expertise+$ returns.. hoping for the day when we truly emerge as centers of excellence.. brahma satyam jagan-mithyä jivo brahmaiva näparah |

The India Skills Report 2019 is a joint initiative of Wheebox, a global talent assessment company; PeopleStrong, an HR tech company and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). and supported and backed by renowned partners like United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Association of Indian Universities (AIU) Andhra Pradesh has topped the list of states with the highest employability in India, according to the sixth edition of India Skills Report 2019.
