New Delhi: The Congress, it seems, is a divided house in Madhya Pradesh. Just days before the assembly elections in the state there has been an open spat between veteran Congress leader Digvijaya Singh and Jyotiraditya Scindia at an important meet in presence of Congress president Rahul Gandhi. According to media inputs, senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh and Jyotiraditya Scindia, two key aides of Rahul Gandhi in MP, had a full blown arguement over the distribution of tickets.

Scindia and Ashok Gehlot have been given the responsibility of picking winnable candidates for the upcoming polls in Madhya Pradesh. The spat was reported during the central election committee meeting of the grand old party over the distribution of tickets.

It should be noted that Digvijaya Singh has been sidelined internally in MP and does not campaign for any Congress candidate or the party. This infighting between Singh, Kamal Nath, and Scindia has been going on for a while.

The meeting went on till 2:30 am in the night after which Rahul Gandhi appointed Veerappa Moily, Ashok Gehlot and Ahmed Patel to try and resolve the dispute brewing between Singh, Kamal Nath, and Scindia.

This might come as a bad news for the Congress just before the upcoming assembly polls where it has a good chance of coming back to power riding on anti-incumbency wave, however, factionalism and infighting might spoil the party for the Congress.
