It wont be huge...but it will be real if 10-20% employees opt for a transfer. They have a very high attrition rate and have been on a hiring in the last 5 years..so a lot of their employees don't have roots in Seattle. I could see upto 20% of employees opt for a transfer if they have east coast roots or want lower cost of living. Pay cut might not be much or zero if the company wants to establish a new base quickly..they can give good incentives like free housing for an year if they want more people to relocate. Microsoft IDC pettinappudu gave tons of incentives in terms of housing, pay and free schooling for kids in oakridge for a year or two. It was quite popular to move to IDC in the initial years. | ||

Overall not expecting a crash like 2008....it will be slow down/correction. Shiller's data has a lag of a few months...Seattle market stabilized in September...no further drop....winter ki better picture vastundhi. Seattle lo winter ki special effect will be HQ2 announcement and related consequences....like how many will opt for a transfer and how fast. | ||
