Orissa n MP Bihar , UP have high population densities making them dearer, also the case of law n order ..u don't need to look at the index to say AP has got ease to live in AP has got adequate land availability , with enough resources and almost all the essential goods can be produced domestically avoiding transport cost on them Guntur, Hyderabad, Andhra, Telangana, Tamilnadu, Karnataka first....India last!!! | ||

Cost of living will be one of the main parameters behind ease of living index If the city is is not affordable to live in there will be no 'ease' to live in it since AP has not metropolitan city it's relatively cheaper to live in AP the other 2 states being Orissa n Bhuvaneswar does n't have metro in them too Kerala on the other hand has highest minimum wages so the inflation will be hiher Kashmir because of the need to import almost every thing will be expensive state Guntur, Hyderabad, Andhra, Telangana, Tamilnadu, Karnataka first....India last!!! | ||

NEW DELHI: Andhra Pradesh has come out on top in the 'Ease of Living Index' rankings under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT), followed by Odisha and Madhya Pradesh, the Union Housing and Urban Affairs ministry said on Monday. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said the index will encourage all cities to move towards an "outcome-based" approach to urban planning and management, and promote healthy competition among cities. According to the ministry, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Madhya Pradesh were awarded the three best performing states under AMRUT. Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in June 2015, AMRUT aims at ensuring robust sewage networks, water supply and other infrastructure to improve the quality of life of people in urban areas. "The Ease of Living Index seeks to assist cities in undertaking a 360-degree assessment of their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats," Mr Puri said. | ||
