ADAG was there in 2012 process too where the offset clause was brought in by UPA. its not anything new. in any case, ADAG is one of the 72+ pvt firms now under multiple JVs with Dassault that is doing this 10b+ contract. ADAG IS NOT the only pvt firm you are probably mixing HAL contract with Dassault contract. In 2012, Dassault agreed they will help HAL in 108 aircrafts, and at at that time HAL was not doing the 18 ready to fly aircrafts, it was exclusively handled by Dassault with offset through JVs So at that time it was 2 package 18 and 108 and both did not take off, 108 crafts because UPA required perf guarantee of those 108 planes. so in one line HAL was not earlier doing 18 crafts in any case in this 10 yr time our squadrons are down to 31 from 42. even now i am not clear what is congress accusing. not just ADAG there are 72 pvt firms who got contract as per off set clause in 2012. HAL did not get before and will not be getting now reg your video, its not clear what are they referring too. HAL is still negotiating those 108 aircraft separately, may be reg specs, this has longer maintenance, better terms. the draft has been revised. you can debate if govt should disclose this to public, which they claim is due to secrecy clause. but i will trust them over raga anyday. only issue as i said is they should be less arrogant about dealing with opp allegations. | ||

Fake news as usual. The UPA model and the NDA model are exactly the same. The joint statement made in 2015 after the deal was signed says it very clearly "that the aircraft and associated systems and weapons would be delivered on the same configuration as has been tested and approved by Indian Air Force…" THERE IS NO UPGRADE, fully loaded sodhi aapandi ika. In fact the UPA deal also had a transfer of technology clause, in this revised agreement, there is no transfer of technology. The Combat Aircraft tender issued by Congress Government clearly envisaged ‘full weaponry’ and ‘Transfer of Technology’, which is missing in the revise deal.
