My mother is from there.....so all my relatives stay there.....Telugu yes but some people would understand and speak tamil as well as their main govt related operations are in Pondy..... i go there all the time.... Yanam was in French control at the time of independence along with Pondicherry hence it went to Pondicherry control. It is called French Yanam too. I never knew that YANAM belongs to Pondicherry. Do Yanam people speak Tamil or Telugu? Why did they include in Pondicherry when it is so far away from Pondicherry? Anyone in this DB lives there? |
