On Monday, InvestmentNews​ reported that the firm will begin charging employers a 0.05% fee on all assets held in Vanguard funds. The fee applies to smaller plans — those with less than $20 million in assets. Vanguard, the largest money manager in the DC market, is a retirement-plan titan in its own right. It manages more than $900 billion and enjoys a coveted spot as the largest manager of target-date mutual funds, which have skyrocketed to popularity in 401(k) plans. | ||

5.1 trillion is vanguard funds. I think vanguard and trowe price funds are very popular...but for 401-k haven't seen many employers offer vanguard as the record keeping company. I know lot of employers that offer vanguard funds as an option through fidelity's 401-k account. | ||

I am mostly invested in T-Rowe price target date funds for 401-k. Naa individual account lo do a mix of international funds and us stocks and little bit of options...so far i mostly do as well as the general market...started reading and learning a ton....will know in a few years if I will become good at it. | ||

yes vanguard is way ahead of Fidelity in 401k fidelity is ahead in total assets since vanguard doesnt have bank or brokerage vanguard crossed 3 trillion assets long time back .those who are serious about their watches display them prominently, those who are more concerned with style and branding present you with aircraft carriers and hide their watches. | ||
