Not only this any free scheme by Govt (it could be CBN or YSR or Congress or any party) is chetta scheme. Govt can give loans on subsidies but shouldn't be free. Make people work for what they are paying or getting benefit for. I am paying tax for my better life in society but not for filling society with lazy people. | ||

This padhakam is going to be a huge hit. Currently its limited to 2 lakhs per day. (not sure per meal session or including breakfast, lunch and dinner). Eitherway, there is a risk that people will be turned back without food. Govt should be prepared to expand quickly to support more. | ||

I agree to "Chetta Concept". As a general principle, I am against the idea of providing FREE STUFF (especially in India as it is PURELY for BUYING VOTES). However, like for anything, there will be certain schemes which I feel are NECESSARY to help people to live decent life (Eg. Shelters for Homeless people, Soup Kitchens for poor etc. in US). At the same time, I cann't believe Indian politicians running corruption free schemes that are truely to help people. Most of the schemes in India are to buy votes and siphon off the money under these schemes. So, while I oppose these ANNA cantines, I hope they run it sincerely, since it is already started. | ||

Instead of spending money on selling anna water or food, why cant the government focus on providing an infrastructure or fair market system where citizens of the country get quality food/water.
