SpringRole is backed by notable investors such as - Science, Bloomberg Beta and high profile Angels like Gil Penchina and Mike Jones. I also serve as the Senior Technical Advisor at Science-Inc, Handstand (on demand fitness trainers - funded by Reebok), Lenny (helps build one’s credit score) and Burst (electric toothbrushes on subscription). I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh with Masters from the Language Technologies Institute, School of Computer Science focusing on Big Data, Machine Learning, NLP and Bio-technology. During this time there, I was part of the IBM Watson project and worked on genome analysis with machine learning. In 2010, I founded AutoBudder - a software which automatically wishes friends on their birthdays. AutoBudder reached out to 4 million people at its peak and won the ACM Challenge of Code. Prior to that, I served as the CTO of LetMeKnow.com an online portal delivering internships, scholarships, conferences etc to college students in India. My hackathon kitty includes- the FWD.us hackathon at Facebook, AWS, HackNY and NYUAD. I am also a Kairos Global Fellow (2012) and was invited to the White House to meet with senators and administration to lobby for changes to the immigration laws. |
